A big thanks to Marcin Klikowicz who has submitted a Polish translation for Sailwave. This can be found in the Downloads – Locale’s section. This adds to the other 7 locales that are available in the download section. Marcin’s Polish version will work on earlier versions of Sailwave although to get the best benefit you need to be running 2.13.3 or later as these newer versions support the character sets necessary for Polish. The later versions of Sailwave also allow more fields to be translated, so if anyone is up for updating some of the other languages – please feel free. Thanks

This version is based on Version 2.11.1 with the following modifications
- Ability to Join First and Last Names at import – No preprocessing required.
- Import competitors from csv file has been updated to now allow merging of competitors with the competitors already in the file. If there is no file loaded then the import is as per the previous version – However if you have competitors already present then the display offers you some more options
You can then select the box Ignore if competitors exist that match:-
You have 3 options – Typically you would only select one of them.
- Sail Number (and Nat) if a competitor already exist with the sail number and the same Nationality (if a Nationality is specified) then the competitor in the csv file will be ignored
- Helmname if this is ticked then if there is already a competitor with this name then the one in the csv will be ignored.
- There is then a custom selection where you can select any field – you could use Boat to stop entries being duplicated – or if you are importing from an online entry system this may create a unique entry number. This way you can run the import regularly as new entries are received.
When you click next you get a display showing what has been imported example
Click Finish and they are visible in the main area.
This version can also join the First and Last names for the Helm and Crew and put them into a single field. Note when this option is selected you cannot match on Helmname.
Often the online entry system supply the First and Last names as separate fields but we want them in a single field. This version has 4 special destinations for the mapping of fields
HELMFIRSTNAME
HELMLASTNAME
CREWFIRSTNAME
CREWLASTNAME
These will HELMFIRSTNAME and HELMLASTNAME are concatenated with a space between them into HelmName – If you want you can map them in reverse you then get the Last Name first. The same is applicable to CREW.
There are also some cosmetic changes of buttons in this version

This version is based on Version 2.9.7 with the following changes.
- This is built with the new compiler V8 as was the test version 2.10.0
- When scoring all competitors as one group and sorting by field after scoring each group, is now published as a separate table rather than all inline within a single table.
- You can also order the individual tables and selectively publish them as when you score groups of competitors separately.
- It also contains new messaging functions for use with the Team 15 or other interfaces.

Instructions for use can be found HERE - NHC is not limited to RYA scheme it can be used to create custom Personal / Progressive handicap systems in conjunction with Excel.
- Drop down for result codes in sailno wizard has been increased in size
- Bug fix for user defined templates – Duplicates were appearing when you used the same name for your user defined templates as the default. User defined templates with the same name over-ride the default.
- Bug fix for the File Close which previously did not clear all variables resulting in duplicate data being added to the Sailwave file when it was saved and also the new file could inherit incorrect information such as Event email and Event web site.
- Rewrite of routine to check for new updated versions available. Now uses http protocol in place of ftp which is now faster and more secure and now has a short timeout in the event of being blocked by Firewalls or other issues (Previously the timeout was 5 mins which could lead to thinking Sailwave had crashed).
Now doesn’t report there is a newer version if you are running a beta version if the latest full release is older than the one you are running. - Bug fix for publishing – individual races column class
- Updated ratings and templates included in Install
- Standalone competitor list program with support for Reversing Forename/Lastname and sorting on the last 3 or 4 digits of Sail number with detection of duplicate sailnumbers etc. Included in install.
- 22 April 2013 updated installer to -1 with new SWHelper.exe and SWNHC3.xls
