Changes
Version 2.24.0 is a relatively small but important update on 2.23.4
Changes since the previous release (2.23.4) includes the following:-
Support for Percentage penalty to be added based on DNF score (as well as the previous method based on number of boats in the series) This was changed in RRS 2017-2020.
If you are using SCP and or ZFP in your results you should change the scoring codes to use the new DNF based calculations if you are scoring to RRS2017-2020. In most calculations it doesn’t make any difference but there are some where it makes 1 point difference due to the rounding.
Support for PRP (Post Race Penalty – Arbitration) as used by Techno293 Fleet “The race score for a board that takes a Post-Race Penalty shall be the score she would have
received without that penalty made worse by 30% of the score for DNF, rounded to the nearest
whole number (0.5 rounded upwards), but not more than half of the difference between the
board’s score before applying the penalty and the score for DNF.”
Updated the plug-in interface to World Sailing for reporting results directly to World Sailing (ISAF)
Corrected Black flag rule to reference 30.4 instead of 30.3
For a use as a portable app which can be used on a USB memory stick, please download version 2.9.7 below.

Bug fix for user defined templates – Duplicates were appearing when you used the same name for your user defined templates as the default. User defined templates with the same name over-ride the default.
Bug fix for the File Close which previously did not clear all variables resulting in duplicate data being added to the Sailwave file when it was saved and also the new file could inherit incorrect information such as Event email and Event web site.
Rewrite of routine to check for new updated versions available. Now uses http protocol in place of ftp which is now faster and more secure and now has a short timeout in the event of being blocked by Firewalls or other issues (Previously the timeout was 5 mins which could lead to thinking Sailwave had crashed).
Now doesn’t report there is a newer version if you are running a beta version if the latest full release is older than the one you are running.

The directory for the examples and the user folders(Styles Templates etc) are now in the “Common Documents” Directory Previously they were in the “Common AppData” directory. This is because in Windows 7 and Vista the Common AppData directory is a hidden directory and makes it confusing and difficult to use. So you will now find them at
C:\users\public\documents\Sailwave —– For Windows 7 and Vista
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Sailwave —– For XP
Installer look has changed to make it look a bit more modern and visually better.

New Feature When Publishing Series Table of Display Starts in Separate Columns
New Feature of Score Teams by Rank and Points
New Feature of Edit – Create Aliases
New Feature of Alternative Sail Number
This Version has the scoring code RAF removed and replaced with RET so as to conform with the RRS 2013.
Numerous changes improvements to the Sail No Wizard with ability to enter on other fields as well as Sail No.
